Routines

Routines are important. They help keep us on track to not only achieve our goals but also make sure we do things we need to do.

Every morning, I wake up and go to the bathroom. This is where I start my day. I brush my teeth, put in my contacts, and give myself a pep-talk. This helps me to get going for the day and get bright eyed and bushy tailed to face the challenges that may arise.

Likewise, I end my day with a book and writing. This helps me to calm down and to be relax. When I don’t read and write each night it can throw me off. My routine has been altered.

When our routines are messed with we lose track of our goals. We lose focus. I have not been good at blogging lately as my routine has been changed. We welcomed in a newborn into our family and my days have been chaotic lately.

So I am slowly getting back into a routine with reading and writing and blogging. But it is difficult. Routines can and will help you achieve your goals and where you want to go. You just have to stick with it.
