Every good story goes like this: There is the main character. They have something happen to them that sets up the story. In Harry Potter, he goes off to Hogwarts. In the Wizard of Oz, Dorthy hits her head and goes into OZ. In the Lion Kings, Simba runs away after his father dies.
The main character then meets a sage, guide, friends, or other characters who help them on their journey in the new land. Hermonine and Ron/Hagrid Dumbledore, the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion/Glenda the Good Witch and the Wizard, or Timon and Pumba/Rafiki.
The journey is treacherous. There are evil people or antagonists who try to prevent the character from going on their mission. There are ups and downs. Sometimes the path works out for them, other times it won’t. But they continue on their journey through it all.
Then at the end of the saga, the main character wins, finds themself, or becomes a champion.
Likewise, we need to be the Hero in our story. As we go through life, we meet friends, have good days and bad, but most of us are still writing it. We haven’t made it to the end of our book yet.
We need to continue writing our story and finding new friends and overcome new obstacles. We need to find things that help us make it the best story we can write.
Don’t let time slip by as your write your story. Keep working and keep learning and end up the champion and hero you are!
