Time is a resource. We receive 24 hours, 1440 minutes, or 86,400 seconds each day. This “bank” restarts each day at 12:00am and ends at 11:59 pm.
If someone gave you $1,440 to spend each day, you’ll find every way to extract each and every dollar. I know you would, because I would too.
I do anything I could to put that money to good use. I might buy things now, to sell off later. Or I might put it in savings. I might give it away.
We do the same thing with our time.
We might spend our time working on hobbies or freelancing now to earn money later.
We can spend time with our kids now, to have memories and pictures later.
We might volunteer to help noble causes.
What you do with your time is up to you. No one can tell you how to spend your time but you can align your time with priorities.
When we align our time with the things that are important to us, we maximize our time.
We spend a lot of time playing video games, phone scrolling, screen sucking. We waste a lot of it away.
Have you ever noticed those notifications on your phone that tell you how much you used it in the past week? Have you gone to look and check?
Imagine a world where you stop using your phone and spend time with people who matter. Or stopped working at 4 p.m. or 5 p.m. each day and had quality time with your family.
That’s what I mean by stop wasting time. Life is too short to worry about little things.
I used to all the time. Now I look back and wonder where it all went.
Focus on what truly is important and stop wasting time.
“Time is a valuable thing
Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings
Watch it count down to the end of the day
The clock ticks life away, it’s so unreal”
~In the End, Linkin Park
